Fantastic Fundraisers

Dec 2018: It has been an award-winning year for fundraising in aid of the Anne Rowling Clinic. Together our fantastic fundraisers have raised over £61,000 in support of our vital research work.

So what have our awesome supporters been up to this year?

Music and Theatre

Our fifth year medical students staged a musical homage to Harry Potter; yoga instructor and therapist, Garth gave a moving portrayal of living with MS; and the Shooglelele Ukulele Band entertained audiences playing their ukuleles.

Charity of the Month

The Dome, Edinburgh, chose the Anne Rowling Clinic for their charity of the month in August and encouraged their diners to add a £1 donation whilst settling their bill. Many thanks to everyone who donated.

Sporty activities

Our supporters got physical, taking on the following challenges: Edinburgh Marathon Festival, Crossmichael triathlon, Tough Mudder, Edinburgh Christmas Walk and climbing Schiehallion.

Party time

Some fundraisers raised money purely by having fun… events ranged from a Silver Wedding celebration to a disco with Forth 1’s Boogie!

Hair raising

One of our youngest supporters raised almost £700 when she got her lovely long hair cut – she is now rocking a gorgeous new short hairstyle…

MS Auctions

Linda raises money by auctioning donated deals and goods through her dedicated Facebook page ‘MS Auctions’. Since 2017, Linda has helped raise over £30,000 to support research into multiple sclerosis at the Anne Rowling Clinic. The Institute of Fundraising (Scotland) acknowledged Linda’s hard work and dedication when they awarded her Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year 2018. With so many supporters raising money for the Anne Rowling Clinic, it is difficult to list every activity but I hope this has given you an idea of the variety of fundraising activities our awesome fundraisers take on to raise money for our vital research. I hope that you will consider fundraising for the Clinic in 2019 – for more information visit our Fundraise page.

With sincere thanks again to our wonderful fundraisers and everyone who supported their efforts.
