Current MS Research Projects

Here are some of our MS research projects. If you're interested in taking part in any of these, please click through to the individual project pages for more information and eligibility criteria.

MS Microbiome study - a study testing whether gut bacteria play a role in multiple sclerosis

MS-STAT2 - a phase III clinical drug trial, testing whether a statin could be used to treat secondary progressive multiple sclerosis

PITMS - a study to develop a computer tool that predicts responses to MS medication

DELIVER-MS - a study that will show whether starting treatment with a highly effective disease-modifying therapy improves the prognosis for people with MS.

We work closely with our colleagues at the MS Society Edinburgh Centre for MS Research who are working hard in the laboratories to understand MS, identify new drug targets and develop new ways to monitor disease progression.
