Dr Amin Mohamed Abu Baker

Amin joined the Anne Rowling Clinic in 2025 as a Rowling Scholar to pursue his PhD in translational neuroscience. His research focuses on neuroinflammation and neuroimmunology, working within the FutureMS study, Scotland’s largest and most comprehensive longitudinal cohort of people with multiple sclerosis (MS).

He graduated from the University of Sheffield with First Class Honours in Medicine (MBChB) before completing his Academic Foundation Programme in Sheffield, where he contributed to multiple neurology research projects and clinical trials, particularly in MS and motor neuron disease. During this time, he also led the national neurology teaching programme for final-year medical students through "Mind The Bleep".
