Dr James Bridson
Dr James Bridson is a consultant neurologist who specialises in neuroinflammatory disease, including multiple sclerosis. He also holds NHS clinics in general neurology via the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Edinburgh and works as part of the on-call team for neurology. James is co-chair for the South East Scotland multi-disciplinary team meeting for Neuroinflammation.
James qualified in medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 2013, with an additional degree in Neuroscience 2010. He completed neurology higher specialty training in Edinburgh. He undertook a Rowling Clinical Fellowship in Neuroinflammation between 2022 and 2023.
Alongside clinical work, James works with the clinical trials teams at the Anne Rowling Clinic offering opportunities to patients to be involved in research.
