Emily joined the team in July 2025 and is a Research Technician in Professor Siddharthan Chandran’s laboratory at the Anne Rowling Clinic and UK Dementia Research Institute, University of Edinburgh. Her role focuses on processing blood samples from participants at the Clinic to identify potential biomarkers that can advance understanding, diagnosis and work towards better treatments of neurodegenerative diseases. She also cultures immune cells called macrophages from these samples to support ongoing investigations into disease mechanisms.

Emily holds a First-Class Masters (MSci) in Neuroscience from the University of Glasgow and is incredibly passionate about helping those with neurodegenerative diseases.
