Jyoti Nanda

Jyoti is a Senior Research Technician in Professor Siddharthan Chandran and Dr Selvaraj's laboratories. Jyoti plays a key role in managing and maintaining patient derived stem cells and further generating functional motor neurons to study motor neuron disease. Jyoti is also a project manager and is proactively communicating and managing various collaborative projects both internally and out-with the University of Edinburgh. An important role for Jyoti is mentoring and teaching students that come through the laboratory; ensuring they have the technical skills to be productive in their research.

Jyoti obtained a Biomedical Science Honours degree at Manchester Metropolitan University and has over 19 years of laboratory experience at the University of Edinburgh.
