About the project

The primary aim of this study was to explore different characteristics of apathy throughout the progression of MND: whether it increases, fluctuates or is more prevalent at different disease stages. The study examined how apathy relates to other symptoms, quality of life, wellbeing and caregiver burden. A secondary aim was to validate a brief version of the Dimensional Apathy Scale so that apathy can be more easily implemented as part of a clinical assessment.
